Founded in 2014, Alai’s goal is one of rural upliftment. We wish to equip young rural minds with entrepreneurial skills, levelling the playing field for all the nation’s youth. The foundation has reached out with communication skills development training & innovation workshops for young entrepreneurs, working with local educational institutions to create ample opportunities for the rural underprivileged.
Smita Vallurupalli has been a philanthroper since the start of her singing career. Her call to charity came when she witnessed adulation from disabled children while on a visit to their home. Though she felt the admiration undeserved at the time, she decided to do everything in her power to earn it. Smita has since been a vocal, proactive and resourceful personality for charitable causes. Championing many projects during crises like Hudhud & also during peacetime for rural education, she earned experience & has successfully built an ecosystem of like-minded people.
